Public Relations/Media Relations
Having the right media contacts – and a strong relationship with them based on mutual trust and respect – can make a good story great or a big story bigger. When the family that owns the rights to Winnie the Pooh found itself in an irreconcilable royalty dispute with Disney, they had no choice but to litigate. The problem was that the Mouse’s deep pockets and legal army were able not only to drag the lawsuit on for over a decade, but to keep it out of the media as well. When we came on the case, it was clear that every media placement would be of supreme value to the family, and we’re happy to say we delivered, with placements including Time Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Forbes, Business Week, the Los Angeles Times and major market daily newspapers from Chicago to Miami, AP, Reuters, CNN, NBC, CBS, NPR, England’s Channel 4 TV, and media outlets around the world.
