Crisis Management
On July 31, 2002, we were weeks away from formally beginning work for a new client – The Hebrew University of Jerusalem – with whom we had a handshake agreement, when the phone rang. A bomb had just exploded in the cafeteria at the Jerusalem campus, killing nine people, including five Americans (although the details would only become clear over the next 48 hours). What began as a sleepy July morning became a day at the center of the biggest news story in the world.
The key to working in crisis management is the ability to create an atmosphere of leadership and support while dealing with complex business, personal and/or legal concerns. Soury Communications specializes in managing the most sensitive and compelling issues, with the philosophy that the spotlight often offers the chance to turn obstacles into opportunities.
